OAK Network Happenings: Polkadot Blockchain Academy Recap, and The Science of Blockchain Conference
It’s been a busy week for the OAK Network team, so we wanted to share this quick update of what we’ve been up to, where we’ve been — and most importantly where you can find us next!
Visiting Professor Chris Li at the PBA
OAK Network Founder/CEO Chris Li joined the Polkadot Blockchain Academy to teach a rigorous course on the XCM cross-chain communication standard.
Founded by Dr. Gavin Wood, the most recent PBA was hosted in collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley with a curriculum covering disciplines such as economics, governance, game theory, cryptography, peer-based and distributed network systems, systems and API design, and much more.
Check out the second picture to see Chris serving as a judge for the final student presentations, and click here to learn more about the Academy including how to join the next cohort at Hong Kong January 2024!
PBA Closing Party (OAK x Moonbeam)
Of course, it’s not all books and studying — if you know us at OAK we know how to celebrate as well. And well, we couldn’t be happier to have been able to host the PBA closing party alongside our newest official parachain partner Moonbeam! We’ve got a tweet here for more info, but here are a few pictures of the great turnout and vibes.
Science of Blockchain Official Opening Party (OAK x Electric x Mysten Labs)
So where can you find OAK next? At the SBC Official Opening Party! Hosted by yours truly, OAK Network, alongside Espresso, Iron Fish, Mysten Labs, and Electric Capital.
Click here to register for the party on August 28th, from 7 to 10 PM at Stanford.
Hope to see you there!
As we traverse this dynamic landscape, your unwavering support and engagement continue to be the driving force behind our accomplishments. We look forward to the exciting chapters that lie ahead and to the opportunities we’ll seize together.
