We’ve featured Tracy Robinson and her documentary The Matter of Life several times, so for the one-year anniversary of the abolition of Roe v. Wade and Life Month, we’re delighted to share a short film she created in preparation for the feature. Watch “Penny: Portrait of a Birth Mom” below. It has an introduction by Robinson, followed by thoughts from Leona Worcester, who plays the birth mother, and Rebekah Cook, who plays the adoptive mother.

Robinson is growing her YouTube channel with clips and interviews that didn’t fit in The Matter of Life. Here are a couple of samples: “Why Men Have a Voice in the Abortion Debate” and “From Pain to Purpose: Hope After Crisis Pregnancies and Failed Relationships.”
YouTube provides a statement from the National Library of Medicine giving “context” to Robinson’s videos, endorsing the pro-abortion arguments assuring parents they’re not murdering their babies.
Ron Nelson, who helped with a recent performance of excerpts from Songs of Revival, told me Facebook froze his account for almost a month for posting a meme stating abortion has nothing to do with women’s health. When I asked Nelson if I could use his name, he said: “It’s time we all face evil and show our opposition to it.”
Social media has shut down so many important conversations. Pray that Robinson and others using media to clarify the sanctity of life can continue to get their important message out to those who need to hear it.

Lovingly placing your child for adoption beautifully expresses the Love of Christ. Showing such unselfish love for your child’s well being is a gift of immeasurable value. So admire the all consuming love of birth Mom’s like Penny as well as the families who allow open adoptions.
